Members of UFCW Local 135, alongside union members from UFCW Locals throughout Southern and Central California, voted overwhelmingly this week in favor of a new contract negotiated over the past few months with Kroger, the parent company of Food 4 Less/FoodsCo.
After months of bargaining and numerous actions, we are happy to announce that a tentative agreement has been reached between Southern California UFCW’s and Food4Less!
Local bargaining for Kaiser Permanente pharmacies kicked off this week on a positive note. The union and management each presented interests and we are identifying common ones for future discussion.
UFCW Local 135 would like to congratulate the cannabis workers at March and Ash’s flagship Mission Valley location on their decision to join the union!
To date there have been twelve bargaining sessions between UFCW and CVS negotiators. And the company still refuses to discuss wages and benefits.
