Stater Bros ULP Strike Vote!

Important ULP Strike Vote Scheduled for Stater Bros Members

UFCW Local 135 and UFCW Locals across Southern California have filed charges with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) against Stater Bros for committing serious unfair labor practices that have interfered with the bargaining process. In response, an important vote has been scheduled to give you the opportunity to decide whether to take action and go out on an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike.

Violations include:

  • Unlawfully surveilling members active in the contract campaign
  • Discriminating against union supporters
  • Interrogating members about union activity
  • Bypassing the bargaining committee by making proposals directly to workers

This vote will determine whether members will strike in protest of the company’s unlawful behavior and continued refusal to bargain seriously.

Electronic voting begins
Thursday, July 24 at 8:00 AM and
ends Friday, July 25 at 5:00 PM.

Members in good standing will receive a voting link via email/text.

Just click the link and vote.

Strike Vote Informational Meetings take place

Wednesday, July 23 at 9AM and 6PM on Zoom.
Email info@ufcw135.com for the registration links.

You’ve never had to take a ULP strike vote at Stater Bros, but the company has changed. Violating your rights only makes the fight for your futures, families, and communities harder. That’s why we need EVERY SINGLE STATER MEMBER to vote YES to authorize a ULP strike and send a loud, united message to management.

It’s important to understand that a “yes” vote does not mean an automatic strike. If members vote to authorize a strike, the Stater Bros Grocery Workers Rising Bargaining Committee will determine if and when a strike is called. Until officially notified by the union, you should continue to report to work as scheduled.

Voting is one of the most powerful tools union members have. Make your voice heard and stand up for your rights, your coworkers, and the integrity of the bargaining process.

Stay union strong and VOTE!
