UFCW Local 135 will give frequent strike updates until a contract is ratified. Please check back daily for the latest news on Kaiser Permanente negotiations.
1. Negotiations continued all last week with minor movement at the local and national level. Bargaining resumes this Wednesday and Thursday.
2. There will be a Zoom meeting Thursday, November 11 at 7pm for KP Stewards, Picket Captains, and those interested in taking a leadership position during the strike. Contact your Union Rep for the registration link.
3. There will be a picket sign making rally and press conference this Saturday, November 13 at 12pm at our Mission Valley union hall. Lunch will be provided. Please come out, help prepare, get fed, and show your solidarity with each other.
4. Continue participating in Solidarity Tuesdays. Wear your union shirts and colors, take photos of your co-workers, and share them with your Union Reps and post on social media. Additionally, reshare relevant social media posts by UFCW Local 135, the Alliance of Health Care Unions, and the member unions of the Alliance. The more engagement on social media, the more support you will gain which will lead to more pressure on the company.
