Kaiser Update: 10-Day ULP Strike Notice Filed!

UFCW Local 135 has officially submitted the legally required 10-day Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) strike notice to Kaiser Permanente.

This action follows our filing of unfair labor practice charges against Kaiser for refusing to finish National Bargaining. Kaiser’s continued refusal to finish national negotiations is a major barrier to reaching a fair contract and undermines progress on the issues that matter most to us: fair wages, safe staffing, and respect for the essential work our members do every day.

Unless Kaiser changes course, the ULP strike for all UFCW Local 135 Kaiser members will begin Monday, February 9 at 7:00 AM.

We take this step very seriously, and Kaiser should too. For the sake of both employees and patients, Kaiser must immediately return to the National Bargaining table and work with the Alliance of Healthcare Unions to finalize a fair agreement.

With our Alliance siblings at UNAC already on strike, this is a critical moment to show Kaiser the power of solidarity in action. Be prepared to stand shoulder to shoulder with your UNAC colleagues.

As we get closer to the strike date, we will continue to share detailed information so you are fully informed and prepared for what’s ahead.
