With contract talks at a stand still and no new negotiation dates scheduled, UFCW Local 135 and the rest of the Southern California UFCW Locals are organizing more actions outside Food 4 Less stores.
We will be holding two protest rallies next week in San Diego County. One in Mission Valley and the other in Escondido. On Tuesday, May 25 from 3-5pm we’ll be at Food 4 Less at Hazard Center in Mission Valley and then on Friday, May 28 from 12-2pm we’ll be at Food 4 Less on N Broadway in Escondido.
We’re calling on all of our sisters and brothers in labor, our friends that hold elected office, our allies in the community, and our members from other Local 135 bargaining units to join the workers at Food 4 Less for these two actions.
We will be picketing and holding a rally in the parking lots of both locations calling on the public to support these essential workers.
