On Thursday afternoon, Ralphs, Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions presented an alternative offer for a new pharmacist contract.
As a result, UFCW Local 135 is pausing the Unfair Labor Practice strike at Ralphs to give ALL pharmacists the opportunity to review the offer and vote on whether to ratify it.
The improved offer includes key priorities:
- Alignment with pharmacy technicians and clerks
- A two-year contract
- More money up front

Next Steps
The ULP strike at Ralphs is on pause while UFCW Local 135 presents the offer for a ratification vote.
UFCW Local 135 will hold informational Zoom meetings for all San Diego County pharmacists:
- Friday, September 18 at 7:00 PM
- Saturday, September 19 at 7:00 AM
These meetings will provide an opportunity to review the alternative offer and ask questions before voting.

Ratification Voting
Voting will take place online from 9:00 AM Saturday, September 19, through 6:00 PM Sunday, September 20.
Voting will take place through the same secure online platform used for the previous two votes. Please check your email and text messages beginning at 9:00 AM Saturday for your unique voting link and instructions.
Union representatives will be visiting pharmacies throughout the weekend to review the offer, answer questions and assist with voting.
