SD County Needs Medical Professional Volunteers

Do you know any health care professionals? If so, their help is needed.

The County of San Diego Health & Human Services Agency requests medical volunteers.

They would like to request volunteers for the Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) from our Healthy San Diego community, which has been serving the underserved in San Diego for more than 22 years.

They have the need for nurses, especially, to work remotely answering the Nurse Telephonic Triage line, which is accessed by calling 211. One health plan has already supported their nurses in volunteering one day a week during their normal work week. They would love, if possible, for this to be a collaborative HSD contribution. Health Plan nurses are experts in providing excellent telephonic service to persons in need.

The community MRC is directing physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and other healthcare providers to sign up using the link below. San Diego county MRC accesses the list of available volunteers from this statewide registration process- so registrants just need to click the “MRC” box for volunteer opportunities.
