KP ULP Strike Day 1 Update

Today, thousands of Kaiser Permanente workers across Southern California walked off the job to protest their unlawful refusal to return to Nation Bargaining and finish negotiations. You sent a powerful message: we will not accept delay, division, or disrespect.

Here in San Diego County, UFCW Local 135 members held strong picket lines at:

San Diego Medical Center – 9455 Clairemont Mesa Blvd, San Diego
San Marcos Medical Center – 400 Craven Rd, San Marcos

From throughout SoCal, our collective action made an impact.

What we accomplished today:
• Workers walked out at facilities across Los Angeles, Orange, San Diego, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, and Kern Counties
• Thousands of members and supporters joined the picket lines
• Hundreds of news stories covered the strike
• Tens of thousands engaged with our message on social media
• Labor allies across California amplified our fight

This strike is about one thing: Kaiser must return to National Bargaining to finish a fair agreement.
