All participants have an opportunity to choose the new dental plan option, — the Delta Dental PPOTM during the Special Dental Open Enrollment, which ends March 22, 2023. You should have seen the Special Open Enrollment materials mailed earlier this month. Please read through it to understand how the new Delta Dental PPO Plan compares to the Indemnity Dental Plan.
Are you ready to switch? Because the dentist you visited last is already in the Delta Dental network (or because you had no dental claims in 2022), you will be enrolled in the Delta Dental PPO Plan automatically. Your coverage with the Delta Dental PPO Plan will start May 1, 2023, and you will receive a new ID card in late April.
Don’t want to switch? If you prefer to keep your current coverage and remain in the plan you have, you MUST fill out your Dental Special Enrollment form and return it to the Fund Office before March 22. Follow the instructions on the form. If we do not receive your form to stay in your current plan, you will be automatically enrolled in the Delta Dental PPO Plan beginning May 1, 2023.
