Attention Albertsons/Vons/Pavilions Members
Today, Albertsons/Vons released a list of 485 stores that will potentially be divested and sold to C&S Wholesale Grocers if the Kroger merger is approved by a federal judge. Eleven Albertsons, Vons and Pavilions stores in San Diego County are on the list: 758, 1897, 2065, 2079, 2116, 2119, 2323, 2348, 2724, 2735, and 2783.
Here are some key points:
- The merger has not been approved.
- Hearings with a federal judge are scheduled for end of July and into September to discuss the merger.
- No Kroger stores in Southern California, are on the list to be potentially divested.
- UFCW reserves the right to utilize “Effects Bargaining” to negotiate on behalf of members.
- If the merger is approved, we expect the list to change.
