Supreme Court Deals Blow to Unions

By June 27, 2018Breaking News

Today the Supreme Court in Janus v. AFSCME handed down a 5 to 4 decision against public sector unions. Fair share fees are no longer permitted although those who don’t join the union are covered by Collective Bargaining Agreements, making them Right to Work (for less) entities. Even though this currently only affects public sector unions, it is a blow to the entire labor movement. UFCW Local 135 stands in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in the public sector.
